Delivery of 2nd Unit of 15m Heavy Duty Pilot Boat
The 2nd unit of 15m Pilot Boat has been successfully delivered to her owners in Abu Dhabi.
The fully aluminium Pilot Boat is fitted with twin heavy duty MAN engines developing 490hp each and driving twin fixed pitch propellers. Two Kohler generators have also been fitted. Special attention was paid to oversize the air-conditioning system and engine room ventilation system to cope with the harsh operating conditions in the Middle East.
Two sections of foam filled fenders are fitted all-round with additional sections in the bow and aft areas. Tyre fenders are also fitted for extra protection. Other special features of the boat include an all-round view in the wheelhouse, suspension seats for both the crew and passengers and safety rails for pilot boarding operations.
